Self-Rescue Mastery: Learn the ISR Method of Swimming with flamingo swim school in London,uk.11/11/2022 ISR stands for Infant Self Rescue, which is a method of teaching self-rescue swimming to children as young as 6 months old. The ISR method emphasizes on survival skills rather than traditional swimming strokes, and it focuses on teaching children to roll onto their back and float, which allows them to breathe and call for help in the event of an accidental fall into a body of water. It also teaches children how to swim back to the edge of the pool or other safe location. The ISR method is based on a series of 10 lessons, which are typically given once per week. The lessons are designed to be short, typically lasting between 5-10 minutes, and are done one-on-one with a certified Swimming instructor.
I am prioritising being safe in the water, developing healthy and memorable habits from preschool. I am avoiding using noodles, other aids equipment as it restricts the child of finding his own balance in the water. I am an in water teacher and using interactive games to make water safe and fun. Flamingo Swim School lesson plans are made to teach the correct swimming techniques with adding ISR exercises. ISR exercises are practised at each lesson for around 5-10minutes.
